The Commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Deputy Commissioner and four staff of the Commission have been honoured by the Sierra Ovation and National Professionals Awards for their contributions to national development at an event to mark the 5th and 7th Editions of the Sierra Ovation and National Professionals Awards respectively.
The ceremony, which took place on the 28th May, 2022, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, was organized by the African Consulting group to recognise various individuals and institutions.
Commissioner Francis Ben Kaifala Esq. was recognised for his outstanding and result-oriented leadership, as head of the country's anti-graft agency. Under his leadership, the ACC Commissioner has revolutionized the fight against corruption in Sierra Leone, with unimaginable successes. The Commission’s notable reforms, huge recoveries, court convictions, prevention and public education drives have attracted unprecedented local and global approbation.
Management and staff of the Commission have been very instrumental in the many successes of the Commission with their unrelenting support and hard work directed to the fight. To this end, ACC’s Deputy Commissioner Augustine Foday Ngobie, Director of Public Education and Outreach Patrick Sandi, Deputy Director of Human Resource Donald Tweede, Principal Auditor Osman Rahman Kamara and Procurement Manager James Kargbo received similar honours and recognitions for their contributions to the socio-economic development of Sierra Leone.
The Commission was also awarded for its contribution to the fight against corruption in Sierra Leone.
