Edita Fofana joined the Commission in October 2008 as Administration/Procurement Manager.  Her academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Sociology (June 2000) and a Masters in Business Administration (March 2012) from the University of Sierra Leone. 

Mrs Fofana has a wealth of experience in Administration and Management.

Before joining the Commission, she worked for the Government of Sierra Leone as Assistant Secretary (July   2001- Oct 2003) and for the United Nations Mission in Sierra Leone (Oct 2003 – Oct 2008).

At the Anti-Corruption Commission, she has worked in various positions in various Departments including; Administration, Procurement, and the National Anti-Corruption Strategy Secretariat. 

In January 2023 she was transferred to the Assets Declaration Unit as Deputy Director and due to her hard work and dedication, the Unit was upgraded to a department and she became the first person to be appointed as Director of the Department. 

Mrs Fofana continues to provide visionary leadership for the Department and is passionate and committed to promoting the work of the Commission as a whole.
