The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) led by its Deputy Commissioner, Augustine Foday Ngobie has participated in a three-day training on “Anti-Corruption and Good Governance”.

This training was organized by the Administrative Control Authority (ACA), and was held in Cairo, Egypt with participants drawn from twelve (12) countries in Africa, largely from Anti-graft agencies, and a few from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and tax agencies.

With a view to modernize and strengthen anti-corruption operations within the African Countries, the training had core areas. The first was on, the evolution of the role of the ACA in preventing and combating corruption, and the National Strategy in preventing its risk.

The training also dealt with, Asset Recovery Best Practices and Challenges, zooming the Egyptian Authorities Perspective, Corruption Risk Management, and the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC).

ACC’s Deputy Commissioner, Augustine Foday Ngobie in his contribution at the training showcased Sierra Leone’s anti-graft model, which received huge commendations, as a number of structures Egypt’s anti-graft agency has are in tandem with the Commission’s mechanisms.
