The Commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) of Sierra Leone, Francis Ben Kaifala Esq., has met with the Head of Liberia's Asset Recovery Task Force, Cllr. Edwin Kleh Martin and members of his team to discuss issues around asset recovery, strategic communication, and anti-corruption enforcement.
The engagement, which took place today, 12th June 2026 in Monrovia, Liberia, culminated in a joint press briefing, focused on strengthening cooperation between anti-corruption and asset recovery institutions in the sub-region, sharing experiences, and exploring best practices for tracing, recovering, and safeguarding public assets.
The discussions underscored the growing importance of regional partnerships in combating corruption, illicit financial flows, and the concealment of proceeds of corruption across borders.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to sustained collaboration and knowledge-sharing in support of transparency, accountability, and the effective recovery of assets for the benefit of citizens.
