ACC Confirms the arrest of Former Chief Immigration Officer

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) can confirm that fugitive former Chief Immigration Officer of the Immigration Department was recently arrested by the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) and currently on bail.
Alpha Kholifa Koroma was arrested on allegations of money laundering.
Koroma is also wanted in Sierra Leone by the ACC on allegations of graft relating to the sale of the country’s service and diplomatic passports to undeserving persons during his reign as immigration chief.
The Commission is in touch with the relevant authorities and will request for his extradition based on the mutual legal assistance framework under the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC).Start writing here...
