Mandate By Departments
Ø To take all necessary steps for the prevention, eradication or suppression of corruption and corrupt practices.
Ø To investigate instances of alleged or suspected cases of corruption referred to it by any person or authority or which has come to nits attention whether by complaint or otherwise.
Ø To receive, examine and retail all declarations of assets required to be filed with it under the Anti- Corruption Act 2008.
Ø To draft model codes of conduct and advise public bodies as to the adoption of such code of conduct as may be suited to such bodies.
Ø To issue instructions to public bodies of changes in practices or procedures which are necessary to reduce or eliminate the occurrence of corrupt practices
Ø To prosecute all offences committed under the Anti-Corruption Act 2008.
In a bid to achieve its mandate, the Commission uses three-prong approach in the fight against corruption.

iii. Confrontation (Prosecution)
COMMISSIONER’S OFFICE
To manage the work of the Commission in its bid to effectively prevent and control corruption in Sierra Leone.
PROSECUTIONS
To prosecute all suspected person(s) and organisations in accordance with the Anti-Corruption Act 2008.
INTELLIGENCE AND INVESTIGATIONS
To conduct investigations and intelligence/surveillance operations and to investigate instances of alleged or suspected corruption referred to it by any person or authority or which has come to its attention.
FINANCE
To provide support services to all departments of the Commission in relation to all financial issues.
HUMAN RESOURCE AND ADMINISTRATION
To provide support services to all departments in relation to Human Resources, Administration, Procurement and Fleet Management.

SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES REVIEW DEPARTMENT
To develop and implement framework for systems and processes improvement in Ministries, Departments and Agencies, (MDAs) and other public bodies.
