ANTI - CORRUPTION COMMISSION CATHEDRAL HOUSE 3 GLOUCESTER STREET FREETOWN SIERRA LEONE, WEST AFRICA PRESS RELEASE 12th September, 2018 ACC CONDUCTS ARRESTS AT THE US EMBASSY The Anti - Corruption Commission (ACC) has executed the arrest of certain persons at the US Embassy in Freetown , in connection with an ongoing investigation relating to the issue and use of s ervice and d iplomatic p assports by undeserving persons . The ACC wishes to clarify that the said arrest was conducted by ACC officers but f acilitated and supported by US Embassy Security and Consular Personnel . T he Commission shall later update the public on the progress of the investigations . Meanwhile, t he Commission wishes to further assure the general public that it would leave no stone unturned in bringing to book those that illegally issued our S ervice and D iplomatic P assports; and those that illegally benefited from same. T he ACC is determined to restore sanity and inject integrity in to the issuance of our national passports. ....................................
